• These mats may be used anywhere indoors, and can be used outdoors in shaded or partly sunny areas on a solid subsurface. 
• Water will not harm them, but exposure to direct sunlight will cause certain colors to fade and shorten their useful life. 
• If you are going to use them outdoors, it is best to provide a cover, like indoor/outdoor carpet or grass, to protect the mats from the sun's UV rays, which will ultimately break down the foam surface.
• These mats are NOT rated for use under tall outdoor playground equipment such as swing sets, slides and other climbing equipment, but are suitable for low-height plastic play equipment and ground-level structures.
